how about:
Tom Morello
Dave Navarro
"Head" and "Munky" from KORN
Wes Borland
All of these guys play the guitar in ways it has never been played before, and manage to create something out of it. Unlike a lot of the guys on these list's who play the sam thing just faster or backwards, these guys are innovaters.

.........and what about the late Steve Clark of Def Leppard?
How many others could play with the guitar down around his knees.....and some really good solo's too....(Armageddon It).....
Just an after thought.....
and Yes....SRV was a guitar God.....

Wes Borland is even worse. The guy can't even play a scale, has no talent, and would have never become famous without a band that 14 year olds like.
Tom on the other hand is incredible.

I can understand the disagreement as you'd have to like the music to appreciate what they do. As far as Head and Munky go, yah, it seems easy. But for the two of them to be able to play off of each other takes some talent and then to be able to produce the same thing live, come on! Down-tuned seven strings. And as far as Wes Borland goes, I understand a lot of people hate Limp Bizkit as a band, but, when he left the band the held an open call for people to take his spot, all across the U.S. Guess who they found that could do what he could? Noone. Guess who's playing guitar on their new album? Head.

Bootleg,
1. Zakk Wylde (Between BLS, OZZY, rockstar)
2. Dimebag
3. Kirk hammett
4. Jimi Hendrix
5. Jimmy Page
6. Toni Iomi
7. Joe Satriani
8. Eric Johnson
9. Eric Clapton
10. Me
Two guys(possibly three, never heard you play) who's music hasn't been reproduced by any kid with a guitar for over a week. Hendrix and Satriani. Anybody else, give a guitar player a case of beer and a weekend and he can play you any of the other ones.
