You couldn't pay me to hit the stores on boxing day. I'd seriously rather pay full price for something than put up with that crap.

Nah, I love Christmas. I don't like how it starts with marketing around Halloween time but it's always fun to go out shopping on Christmas eve with the sights, sounds, and festivities and then come home to see what the girlfriend has chosen as her Mrs. Clause Hoe Hoe Hoe outfit. Bah humbug, I hate this time of year, pissy customers who don't give a rat's a$$, no time off, overtime, not to mention 5 birthdays within a week of Christmas (3 on the same day), mine two days before and my dads is Christamas day. It is just absolutely no fun anymore, I hate it. Being a days oway from the family makes it that much worse. Hearing Christmas music and commercials the minute halloween is over is just wrong as far as I am concerned, don't count on my business if this is you. I don't like giving for Christmas and I sure as heck don't need gifts for christmas. I too would be more than happy to veg and spend it with my best friend and our dogs a doing something we like.

Yep.

It doesn't matter if your being a smartass or not, it's true.

My family used to be religious. We all used to go to church on christmas day(which I hated BTW) after opening presents then it was back to the house to play with the new toys etc...

Now, I see my mom and dad for christmas and anybody that still lives in Ontario. I'm not a huge fan of my family, especially the ones that don't come around unless they need something, which is most of them. So I never really say much to them when there around, and I usually end up wrestling with the one uncle that I do still like, or sitting in my grandpa's lazyboy asleep untill dinner.

So, do I give a damn about christmas?
Not anymore.

/\/\/\Zoo Lights is a joke in my books...

"Hey Billy-Bob..I gots me here an idea...Lets take this pile of wood and metal and such, make a bunch of things that are supposed to be critters and santy and so forth, staple a bunch of lights and crap to it, and then...ready for this part?...We'll charge folk like five or ten bucks to come out, freeze their heiny's off,and look at 'em.."

They got something like that in Winnipeg too(well they did anyway)but you drive your car though this maze of xmas lights...And people suck it in in drodes...

Well...Isnt this interesting...All my talk about xmas not being as good as it used to be and voila!!My mom could quite likey be coming out to be here for xmas!!

I havent seen my mom in almost 2 years, and even though she does get on my nerves quite a bit, I do miss her...

She will be calling me back in the next day or so to confirm things....

If this falls thru,Would any of you be coming from/through Winnipeg to/through Calagry in the next couple weeks?

I would really love to have at least one more xmas with my mom...Maybe thats what I need to get the xmas spirit back....

I like buying gifts for friends and family. My parents don't spend enough to buy one rim, so I always go out and buy whatever I want anyways.
You get a few days off, a christmas party to have some food and booze on your bosses card.
