how while back? a few hundred years ago?
i havent heard of any town line disputes in Toronto in the past 50 years or so. Even when they made the GTA Megacity the postal codes stayed the same and so did the street names and house numbers.

Perhaps if they were 100 years old that may be more logical for you.
There was a dispute over the town lines when it came to 911 response you could benext door to the fire station but technically in the other 'town' and your town had to respond to it, not the station next door.

of what towns? there are no 'towns' in Toronto. They are all manucipalities and they all have their own 911 response units, sometimes more than 1.
so did these two houses have different numbers and postal codes before this dispute?
the station next door will repond to u, which unit reponds is determined by how far u are from the unit, not what town u live in. when u dial 911 the computer recognizes your phone number and automatically determines which unit is PHYSICALY closest to u.
so what u are saying that if im stuck on the highway with my car on fire and i happed to be right between mississuaga and Toronto, like right beside the sign that says Welcome to Toronto, that no one will come to my resque b/c im ON the town line and technically im not in either of the cities?
there still can never be two diff houses on same street with same number and fall into the same postal code....never. i dont see what town lines have to do with any of that?????? why would it matter which town u are in? as long as u are on the same street u will have diff house number and fall into diff postal code range if they are on opposite end of the street like u said.
just like i said, when they made the Megacity NOTHING CHANGED so the town lines/disputes over town lines DO NOT MATTER when it comes to your address.

I thought we were talking about address and not about 911 calls?
They are 2 totally different things, as I can't remember 911 ever asking for a postal code.
OHH another update, I got the number for that lady called her and picked the pacakge up.
Wasn't even delivered remotely near me house!
Regardless, we figured it out before Canada post has even called me to figure out where they delivered it.

yes like johnny said the package was delivered to a different part of the GTA, not to a house on the other end of the street. he lives in Scarb and his packaged was delivered to someone in North York.....the postal codes for the two cities even start with a diff letter.
