Hmm guess maybe us non-ontarion's and quebecer's are just clueless.

I kinda assumed since purolator/ups somewhat stopped working on that day in every province but those two that it wasn't a holiday.

For whatever reason dell would only really service those two provinces on that day :S

I heard on the radio where its preferred that kids are in school on Rememberance Day, that way they get to learn about it and participate in the ceremonies more so than if they had the day off.

</font>[/QUOTE]It's considered a holiday for some but not all. Jordy is right if it was an official holiday for EVERYONE the schools would be closed. And at least in this province the schools aren't closed on Rememberance Day, they educate the students and honour a moment of silence at the appropriate time. And yes Gov't workers do treat it as a holiday. Including gov't involved/run businesses eg. Post Office and I believe banks too? (I may be mistaken about the banks)
