Draught (or draft) usualy referes to the delevery method ie: from a keg.
Stay away from this kind of beer. This is the kind of beer that causes one-night-stands. Not becuase you get drunk and go home with an ugly girl (or guy in yer case) more so becuase after a night of drinking draught you tend to have (how can I put this) the *****.
Really try and get a craft brewed beer (small brewery not Labatts or Molson)-also called micro brew.
IE: Sleemens Steam, Okanagan Helle, etc. By light I mean a light colored beer that is easy to drink. Not Bud lite.
One is a lighter beer in color and flavour and the other has reduced calories, taste, and alcohol.

No so much dark as bad tasting.
They make mass-produced cheap tasting beer.
If you are going to do this...do it right!
There are two types of beers:
Lager
Ale
Lagers are generally lighter in taste while Ales tend to be more full flavored. Withing each (lager and Ale) you will find light and dark beers.
Also note that light and dark can refer to the color and the taste, with darker taste being more full-bodied and thicker flavor.
Like I stated before try and start with a easy to drink beer, a honey-lager, pale-ale, or pilsner (pil). Stay away from anything called Stout or Porter - these are heavey dark full flavored ales that can be overwhelming,
