It takes a bit to apreciate beer. then you ge to the point where nothing else compares.
Start with lighter beers (Sleemen Steam is a good one). Just don;t start with a stout!

My brother used to get me drunk by feeding me a whole Brador when I was eight...by the time I was twelve I could drink a twelve.
Blind, if you want to really ease into beer, then find something without a whole lot of hops in it. That's what gives beer it's delicious "bitter" aftertaste. Since you're somewhat close to me, I would highly recommend getting your hands on some Beehive. It's brewed by Wellington and has very little hops in it. It's a honey beer, but judging from the sweet-ish taste, I'd say they actually add a little honey near the end of the brewing process 'cause usually you can't really taste it.
If you're going out to a bar tonight, they probably won't have it...try and get a Creemore Springs. Lots of places have that on tap. Failing that, I would suck back a nice Molson Ex. Mmmmmmmmm.
Well...time for some mass consumption. Have a good time everyone.

Oh I love beer now. that was 3 or 4 years ago when I first tried it. I'm in college, how can i not like beer? It's definitely an aquired taste. I find it really refreshing now. 'ahhhh'
Zach - I haven't been to the Sin yet but I plan to next semester. Only been to the vibe, and it just,, well, sucks.
Lucky Lager is pretty decent. It's cheap.

Oh, and to answer your other question...definately bottles. Cans should only be used in cases where a bottle might break. I.E. out in the boat or wandering pissed through the woods while camping etc. Anyone who tells you that it makes no difference is either a smoker or were born with deficient taste buds. I experience an overpowering taste of aluminum when drinking from a can.

well i know im going to get in crap form the peoples on here for saying this, but here it goes.
i only like beer after im drunk that means i have to drink some coolers to numb my taste buds and then i chug and thing i can get my hands on that is lower then 8% alcohal.
and as for the first time i drank beer well it was the summer before grade 10 and the stuff tasted like ear wax, it was wild cat.and then i waited a hole year with out drinking cause i just didn't like the stuff back then and still only have the occational drink and get drunk. the first time i got drunk was this summer.

First beer I was 6, it tasted like crap, I think it was molson canadian. after few years I tried some other types...started to like more, and now I drink Big-Rock all the time. Once you start to like it there is nothing better, esecially on a hot day after a hard day of work.
