3 accidents...

1- 16 and just got my license, driving like a dumbass I rearended some old guy at like 2 kph. Put a tiny little ding into his back bumper.
2-On my way to football practice at 7 in the morning and smacked a deer going around a corner at about 60. Minor damage
3-On my way home from college during a long weekend from Edmonton I hit a deer on the Yellowhead at about 135+. ****ed up the Shitfire, but I was all right. Total loss.

i've smashed my jeep before but it would not fall under any categories you provided. was a $25,000 damage to the front end but the car did not get written off. insurance paid and got it fixed, the car was a lease so i guess chrysler said fix it. although the damage cost was more than half of the value of the vehicle.
wasnt my fault, some dude came into oncomming lane while i was doing about 80kms, i caught him head on. it was fun. wear your seat belts kids, it saved my life.

I opted for "einter with minor damage", since even though I know you meant "winter", it's probably the coolest choice.

My sole accident was a pretty ridiculous one... I entered a curve doing about 50kmh with my old sunbird on a rarely used road just out of town and was completely blinded by the sun (the windshield on that car was terrible, every inch was speckled like mad and when the sun hit it, it was like looking into some sparkly yellow f-ing blanket).

Anyhow, I managed to nail this huge-*** ****ing barracade - the thing couldnt have been more well-marked - that ran across about 3/4 of the road over some new asphalt or something. It busted out one of the headlights and then somehow managed to actually puncture the driver side door hahaha... it took awhile to convince people I was sober at the time. Good times. Not really though.

Work truck doing 130kmh on my way to Terrace to catch up with the boss before I lost him. ended up catching some slush on the hiway and went backwards down into the ditch, then slid a couple gundred feet backwards up the hillside.

Closest I have ever come to a roll without going over and not even a scratch in the paint.

O jeez... OK I will finally confess

back in December 1980 Just picked up my GF and was driving my 74 orange
V6 Capri up University street in Montreal to go to our frat party. Was already drunk and had a glass of Southern comfort betwen my legs... Yes did that stupid stuff back then. Was shooting the lights and went thru just as it turned green when a car going thru the red light Tboned me.
Yup, brocken cocktail glass all over the carpet and SoCo smell. But the cops did not seem to notice or at least back then gave a little slack since I totaled Dad's car.
Anyway it was BMW (buss metro walk) for the next 3 years of university.
So there.... yes us old folk where bad in our youth too... at least I was lucky enough to not kill myself... Now dont be stupid like me. DONT DRINK AND DRIVE...

Had a number of fender benders but then was driving my company car Ford Taurus from Montreal to Sherbrooke and it was icy and I slipped and headed into the snobank. maybe 1990? dont remember. It was hard and the car flipped... What a time! The fleet manager saw me comming with the tow truck and he had the replacement car keys on his desk before I got in his office! Ah love those company cars!

Now let me tell you about the $1000 christmas ornaments... Well my wife an I where in Germany visiting Oberamergau in the Bavarian alps. We picked up some Christmas tree ornaments there and when we were leaving there was a stop sign to get onto the main highway... I watched carfully and when I saw an opening I gunned the engine to merge...at that instance my wifed yelled STOP so I slammed on the brakes stoppign halfay onto the highway. An oncomming car (the one my wife thought I would hit) swerved to avoid me... but then hit an oncomming truck...Major injuries and totaled car. Make a long story short, because I was at fault, I got a $1000 fine... It all went so fast. Thinking back afterwards, If my wife had not said anything, I would have easily made it on the highway..... I think it would be great if we had $1000 fines for going thru stop signs and causing accidents over here...

Another story about drinking and driving...
Was in Munich (before I even knew my wife) and was on a date with my uncle's cousin's girlfriend's daughter... I dont think we are related...Anyway I told her that we could use my rental car... she said no way... we will take the subway and that way when we are totally drunk we can take a cab and make out in the back seat.... Yes even 20 years ago European youth were much more responsible...and liberal...the nightclub had co-ed washrooms too......So Girls... now you know how to make taking a cab cool...

Outside of Enderby, 1990 in the early morning and 1 foot of fresh snow. Driving in 4 high in a 87 4 runner. The highway had not been cleared at all. Got passed head on by 3 super b-trains that were drafting each other. They were all going above the speed limit, I was 30 below the limit. The air they displaced coupled with the snow pushed me right off the road. Caught the gravel on the edge, threw the truck sideways and the long slow slide towards the power pole. Did everything I could to miss the SOB, forward in 4 high, reverse in 4 high, turn the wheels, little was working. Finally it started to pull fin reverse with the wheels hard over, snow flying everywhere. I watched as the back end of the truck clears, then the middle, then my door, the the firewall area and that was all I could get. Impacted the pole right on the front wheel and it went 1 foot into the engine bay. Damn lucky that it was not where I was sitting. Snapped the pole off at the same time.

Cops show up on their way to another accident, see if I am OK, ticket me for too fast for road conditions even though the witnesses said otherwise and as no-one else had passed the area, we took his shovel and went and found the centerline. The trucks that passed me head on had been in my lane by 42". Went to court and won that one. Cop did not think I was in 4 high either.....funny, the front hubs are smashed in by a pole.....don't think I can turn them out.

Last winter with 3 inches of fresh white stuff on the road (not yet plowed)doing about 85 in an 80 zone in an auto CRV (that I was borrowing from my mom while my folks were relaxing on a warm beach in the south)
I knew the road well so I was having a blast, then came a 70km/h downhill S-bend. I hit the first apex perfectly, put my foot on the gass to accelerate out and the blasted auto downshifted on me.

Needless to say it let go comepletely.
I slid about 450m downhill around a cornor, managed not get more then 90 degress from straight (although I fishtalied like 15 times) and kept all 4 wheels out of the ditch.

not a sctach and I still made it to work on time.
