I'm about to get very angry...and that is not good news for the people at Bell.

Since I got my Highspeed hooked up yesterday afternoon I've been kicked off the internet, then when I try to reconnect it times out and I can't get on...I have to reset my highspeed modem to get back on....it is bloody ridiculous.

Is anybody else having problems with it or have a solution to the problem other than going over to bell and start beating heads together?

Sorry to hear your having troubles. I have Bell high speed and it's been working perfect. they recently upgraded me to a faster modem for free because I download too much. Problems like you describe don't last too long if it's with there office. If you have Windows XP don't install the software, go through XP's network connections. Feel free to e-mail if you need help or have any questions.

I'm running WIN ME, I think that COULD possibly be why it's freezing but it does not explain the modem timing out.

It's been pretty well behaved today so far...it seems to only happen at night.

Hey, you live in Grande Prarie? Do you know where Raz's Tatoo shop is? I met him this summer at SARS Fest...cool guy, I'm planning on going up there to visit him this summer.

I had all kinds of problems with Sympatico High speed. I even did the free trial to Sympatico Ultra, just to see if that would improve things. My connection would simply stop. I could open ten different windows to all different sites, none would open for 30 or more seconds, then they would all go back to normal and open up. It was like I was disconnected and had to wait for it to start again.

I tried all the suggestions by Sympatico's help line. I tried a bunch of hacks and fixes from the internet.

I ended up getting Windows XP and things run perfect now. I was running 98. To top it off, my regular high speed on XP is faster than the Ultra high speed was on 98.

Three different friends of mine had the same problem. Windows XP fixed each one. Seems to me Sympatico has a problem with their Access Manager.

Hope this helps,
Later,
Brad
