Yeah I'd say disrespectful smokers is my main peeve, I've got a particular friend who has that attitude where it's BS about the bars etc etc, well it's been how long and non smokers had to put up with it, it's about time the times change and let non smokers enjoy themselves... Not only that she's prego smoking with her kid but " her mom did it with her so it's ok" pisses me off mommy might have screwd up with you but it doesn't make it right to fill someone elses lungs with smoke if they don't want it....

I'm kinda curious why NOBODY smokes anymore.....it was the thing to do back in the day, but now just because the government puts a disgusting picture on the side of the pack, everybody quits? WTF? All sell outs I tell ya J/K

Seriously though, yea so it COULD kill you but it usually takes a long time, so what's the problem? Hamburgers from McDonalds are bad for you too, are you non smokers gonna put up a big stink about that too? "Oh, I'm breathing in second hand burger smell, it's got MSG in it, please go outside with it".

I'll admit though, I'm a smoker, but I HATE the smell...unless it's a Cigar....Cigars are awesome.

Smoking IS a danger to your health and can not be disputed but it is in fact each persons choice to take that risk or not. Yes I am a smoker but at least I think I am more on the considerate side as I dont smoke in my car, peoples houses, etc. But to say that second hand smoke outside in a park or something like this is just crazy. Do you think that there arent already enough other toxins in the air that don't outweight the ppm that you would get from someone smoking a cigarette? In bars I do agree that having smokers and non smokers is bad because it is not a properly ventalated area. But you are telling me you dont know this already before you went into the bar? People have to take resonsibility for their actions and one is chosing to go into a bar that is a bar with smokers. There should be both types of bars (smoking and non) so that people have a choice. Also the comment about the burden on health care system I think is a bit 1 sided and only works when you want it to. What I mean is that you claim that the people need to pay for the system because smokers will need health care and why should we be paying for that. Well I ask you how many times in your life have you or someone you know done something stupid like ride a dirt bike and wiped out bad enough to need hospital care? Well that was your choice to ride that bike wasn't it? Was it the choice of the people to pay for your hospital care when you used something recklessly? My point is that banning smoking doesnt solve the issue it just takes another freedom away that we have. Hasnt that happened enough already in this country?

I will say that I would support the fact that anyone younger than 18 smoking a cigarette should be subject to some fine. I think there is only a law against selling not using so lets make it law for using as well until the person turns the age of 18 where they are "suppose" to be mature enough to make rational decisions.

One last thing I will agree with is that parents with children should not smoke in their house or vehicles as that is not fair to the kids.

It is your choice to smoke, and you are making that choice aware of the consequences. It is not my choice to breath in second hand smoke and I do my best to avoid situations and people that smoke because of it.
I went to the bar once at school and didnt go again cause they dont have the smoking ban up there yet, i love when im at home cause the ban is here and its o much better to go in and breathe normally, and not come home with blood shot red eyes and smelling like an ashtray. its like im allergic to Cigarette Smoke as everytime its around me I feel like i cant breathe at all.
