oh and as far as things that look stupid, here are a few things that I don't like to see:
spoilers on fwd vehicals, body skirts, steal me stickers, fart pipes, rainbow tint, halogen headlights, aftermarket techs, agressive drivers,

Strobes radiate IR light sufficient to trigger the sensor maybe?
As an FYI, if it's an IR only light, you DON'T see the light flash! People can't see infrared under normal conditions!

the strobes don't change the lights, emergency vehicles actually have a small infared device just like the one being sold.it works just like the remote control for your t.v. or h/u,have you tried to change the channel on your t.v. with a flashlight or strobe light,i believe it to be quite impossible .again the traffic light MUST HAVE the receiver to work,here in calgary thats a very small amount.
