Trouble With Automatic Car Starter
#13
Just an update, I tried it quickly just now.
This is what happens:
- Press start button, the lights flash to confirm that it received the singla
- It turns over for a half a second or so and just stops
- The lights just flash.
If I go in an manually start it, it catches no probs when it is plugged in.

Does anyone have any idea what the make/model might be?

Looks like it could be an old Nordic NS-3003SH, or similar... Pop your hood, find your hood pin switch and try this:
1. Hold the hood pin down for 4 seconds
2. Release the hood pin (parking lights should come on at this point. If they don't, the contacts may be dirty, so spray with cleaner, or replace the hood pin altogether)
3. Immediately push and release the hood pin again (parking lights should stay on for 20 seconds)
4. Press and hold the brake pedal, then press the LOCK + START buttons on the remote (parking lights should then flash 4 times)
5. Release the brakes and start the car. Let it reach idle speed
6. Press and release the brake pedal
7. If the parking lights flash five times, the tach signal has been learned
8. Close the hood and try to remote start the vehicle
8. Close the hood and try to remote start the vehicle

or open hood, if lights come on, start vehicle and press brake and hold until lights flash again.
