Does anybody know if you can set Windows Media Player to play for a set time, or to play only a certain amount of times, then turn off? I like listenin to music when I go to sleep, and it would come in quite handy if this were possible.

if u could hook it to the tv where u have a sleep timer that would work but other than I don't think that works unless you have it play through a playlist then it should stop as long as u dont have it set to auto repeat

Im not sure if this will work, cuase ive never tried it... But what about the task manager in windoze? It should be able to run and stop at a given times. if it dont stop just make a play list that is X amount of time.

Ill give that a try. Problem is I've got about 10 hours of music on my playlist, and I like it to be random all the time. Id rather not make a smaller playlist.

I never was able to get WMP to properly randomize. I got fed up with it and got iTunes, and haven't been happier. Microsoft may have a faq about media player and maybe there is a method of doing it.

Coult, heading to Pumpkinfest next weekend?
