Derek, I had a 2002 R/T. It didn't get the mileage it should have for a 2.0L motor. I would get high 20s around town and work commuting (about 400 kms to a tank) and the best on the highway I got was 35 mpg I think. A far cry from what the window sticker says, but then those figures aren't accurate either as it is based on the Imperial gallon and not the US gallon. And the car had to take Premium gas. $$$$

I have a 2000 Neon, I have put 60,000 kms this year. I noticed a increase in the gas consumtion last month. For example, I can drive from Calgary to Pentiton BC on a tank of gas (779 km). I had a dirty air filter, and only got 468 kms to a tank of gas. I do this drive 3 time a month. I drove from Calgary to Winnipeg on 3.5 tanks of gas. I find the car great on gas, but maintain it. I was burning through $20-30 in gas a week. That's where I noticed the dirty air cleaner.

30-32mpg seems to be about what everyone gets with these things. I was very disapointed with it when I first bought the car. Now after 170,000km+ I have gotten used to it and now am too busy fixing it when it breaks. Everything front end related seems to need replacing now.
OH, and avoid 146.5dB. As soon as we got the car hitting these #'s the sunroof broke and just this past weekend at our competition we broke the passenger side window [img]redface.gif[/img]
