Holy detective work Batman. I have honestly heard of other used car lots have people jack parts for vehicles. I guess if you are sure it is yours and can PROVE it to the police they could charge him, otherwise they won't be able to do anything. Of course you can always take matters into your own hands, if you want to get into a pissing contest that is. Perhaps you should take back what is yours ?? Good luck!

seeing as how it's your bumber, i would take a hammer to the ride that has it, cause you know that if you get back on your ride, he'll just come get it again. get some sugar for his gas tank and some acetone for his paint job, , oh yeah scratch your best circles on his paint with you tire iron. finish off with a good nail to the sides of his tires. you could always go to the cops but that takes a long time and you probably don't wanna find out that he sells it

I don't really wanna rain on your happy day but you are gonna need some actual proof other then comparing those two pics, simple fact is that style of front end is a VERY common aftermarket front bumper, there is alot of vehicles out there with them.
But you mention the special made grille, if you can prove that then all the power to you. I really hope you get to the bottom of this, I've dumped about 5-7g's into the exterior of my car alone as well and would hate to lose it all.

the bumper is 100% mine, as i said, we looked underneath it and certain colours of fiberglass are in the right place, the 2 cracks that i made in it are still there, and the grill itself - in all the car shows i've ever been to i've never, ever seen anyone with the same grills, there is no doubt that it is mine. what are the odds of someone cutting the pieces exactly the same, installing exactly the same, etc..

Yeah, but how can you PROVE that the bumper on the Acura was the bumper on your Civic. Words alone wont be enough.
I dont know, but just a front bumper, with no side skirts, or rear gfx, looks out of place to me. Its like you started with a body kit, but didnt finish. IMO, you need the entire kit, or nothing at all.
Good luck proving that bumper is yours though. Let us know what happens.

Holy crap.. I would be following him and see if you can locate any of your other missing parts...
Do the leg work the Police should have done and show them pics and receipts of when you bought the stuff and if the new owner cannot prove where he got it from the court should be able to decide this one pretty easily...
