Sports Select...

Does anyone here play Sports Select? What games do you play, and has anyone actually won any money doing this?

I used to play about once a month during football season, or during the NCAA, but I have never won anything. I hate the bullshit of having to pick 3 different games against the , or the money line. Why can't you just make a straight bet? Its legal to gamble online but at the seven 11 you have to choose three games just to play?!?

I now believe it is impossible to win this , someone prove me wrong...

i used to play hockey, back when i knew which teams were good lol.

now with all the changes and the way weird last season (go oil) i dont even bother.

pick 3 is the way to go tho, i used to win about 20-30/month doing that, and yes, by "win" i mean that i made more than i spent.

It is total bullshit, used to play it for years myself. But for a regular player the house edge is so big compared to vegas/bookie style waggering that you will loose money even if your game picks are right 75% of the time or even higher.
The worst is football on the pro line. 3 possible outcomes instead of 2 with "Anything 3 points or closer is a tie". So your making me pick 3 games minimuin, at completely unfair odds. The payout is just so far away from the risk factor you can't make money.

If hockey, anything ending regulation in a tie is considered a tie.
Vs. Any good bookie or online sports service such as www.pinnaclesports.com ( is use them) or sportsinteraction.com have between 5% and 10% commision.
I suggest you set your self up with one of the above. Bookies can typically be found by asking the bartender at your local sports bar, he may even be a bookie himself.

i don't play much...maybe a couple times a year at most....prefer to just make a bet with someone on a single game.

Bro plays a couple tickets a day on big days....like NFL sunday is at least 2 tickets, if not three, once hockey is going there's usually a ticket every night.

He wins every now n then. Largest win was just over $1000.

1000 bucks isn't too bad, but if he is playing every night during hockey season and every sunday, I would be shocked if he was actually making money. I need to find a bookie....

I used to work with a dumb newfie that would buy 100 dollar sportselect tickets every day. He would win maybe once a week, or once every couple weeks, and then gloat about the 230 dollars that he won, when he spend around 1k to make that.

its like any gambling, you get a win once in a while and you just hope like hell that it covers your losses.

usually it doesnt, plain and simple, but it sure FEELS good when you get one on them.

yeah....2-5 bucks/day on tickets it seems.....he might be about even with the $1000 win. But if it's an every day thing, it akes the games tha tmuch more intense. Then add on $100 every now n then or so it's kinda like a bonus.

that being said, i won't be doing that.
