The funny part is that the speakers are not stolen, just crap. That is the marketing plan. The speakers sell better if people think they are stolen.

A few years back a hifi mag bought a pair and ran some tests on them. Junk drivers, junk box, junk everything.

i was at a bank getting cash. and 2 guy walk up it me and say hey wanna buy some speakers. i say "can i see then" there like sure. how about i hook one up in my car to see how they sound and if i like them ill buy them. sure they say.
so i hook one up befor i start the car he asks how big is your amp i say only 500 watts so hes like sure so i sit in the car turn up the volume he's lik oh yeah turn it up. i turn up the sub control i can see smoke comming out the port but hes beside my door looking at me. so i look at him and say nahh i dont like them not deep enough. so un hook the speaker and put it back in the bag. but when i put it in the bag i pushed on the woofer and it was seized. he brought it back in the van and they drove off. he didn't realize i killed the speaker. so some sort of justicewas served for all the sucker out there made me laugh.

[/qb]
hmmm I got the same spiel once only I was at a store and they were trying to sell me some Nuance speakers [/QB]
bwaaaahaahaa. can a person ever just walk past a certain store with out being asked..."do you want to hear the new breakthrough??" i know all to many people that fell for the nuance scam hehe. but back on topic, a few years back in my home town of a whole 2600 people, this white van rolled in twice that summer. once he was selling truck speakers with dual 8"subs (with lime green surrounds i might add)and the cutest horn tweeters. second time he came,he had the house speakers. dual 8's and the same tweeter, complete with corner guards hehe. his story was he had to deliver them to a store but the warehouse gave him twice to many so he figured he would give some people an "awesome" deal and make some quick cash. he even had the paperwork to prove it lol.

my favorite part was the "it is like getting a Ferrari for the price of a honda" -- Nuance just made no/sense and became a nu/sense and gave everything a bad name.
