A guy I work with bought a set and they are junk....the brand he got was PSD the flyer he showed me that the guy gave him was an old one for PSB speakers. The pawnshops out here are full of these things. He got them cheap enough that it wasnt that bad but still a scam.

I lived in London England for three years back in 1998 to 2001 and I fell for the Exact same scam in England.
So its not just here.
Mind you I talked them down and felt after all was said and done they were pretty descent speaker towers for what I paid.
Had no way to bring the bad boys back here when I came back unfortunately but I gave em to a buddy so it was all good.

That scam is strong here in edmonton. I know a guy that was taken by it, even though he wouldn't admit it and sold them off to another buddy. I've been approached twice. Once I told them I was broke. The last time I told them I have energy C-9's already and he gave me a line about these cost $5 grand american. (so you should ask for $7000 instead of $700 dumbass)

My friend and I were approached in Red Deer with the same scam. The guy was driving a white van and said he was a delivery guy from Calgary for A&B Sound and they had left over speakers he wanted to sell. My friend bought a pair for I think $400 .. OUCH!
