I remember a long long time ago Wade was looking at getting into this OTHER hobby, and a very informative post developed.

Now I am looking to get into this hobby as well.

Anyone have any experience, info, sites, forums, etc they can share?

I am starting very small.

Probably with a 10 gallon coral and invert tank.

Any recommendations? Good stores/placed around the GTA or online?

I have been doing some research but I want to get really informed before I take anything alive into my care, of course.

No fish, tank is a little too small.

Apparently for fish you SHOULD have at least a 30 gallon tank, which I dont have, and dont want to buy as a beginner.

I'm planning a few different corals (living) and some invertebrates like crabs shrimp maybe scallops, etc.

I just want some interesting 'critters', really, and some coral and such that can develop over time.

My other half likes puffers and other brakish fish... they seem to be a little more difficult to maintain but well worth it if thats your thing..

10-15gal is plenty for a beginner with some smaller fish or whatever IMO...

I have had dwarf puffers.

They ate each other...sigh.

I would go with lizards, BUT...they smell...lol... and my girlfriend would not be in the same room with them.

haha.. I had an iguana back in the day... he'd get out all the time an enevitably scare the living #### of someone... (I used to have a lot of house parties and guests staying over and there were some pretty funny encounters people had)

You can tell you have never had lizards. They do not smell in the least. I have 1 bearded dragon and 2 water dragons in my living room and there is not even a hint of an odor. </font>[/QUOTE]I'm assuming the bearded dragon's in the big cage? thats an awesome setup.
