Chunk, sorry dude, I know exactly how this feels. My ex is keeping me from our dogs right now. Dogs for us were part of our family. As we did not have kids, our kids were furry, shed hair, stole food, surfed the counter, hogged the bed, dug holes and drooled everywhere. I had no problems with any of that. I feel that these dogs were my family and it is 100% wrong to keep someone from their family. So, there are two of us at least that have to take life how it is handed to us. I hope that you can remember your dog knowing that you and your family had the best time that you have had with him and made him happy and safe in your home.

Sorry to hear that Chunk, i have lost a few animals in my past, and it's just like losing a family member (to some, it IS losing a family member)

Damn, that's too bad. The dog wasn't even that old! I don't even know what I would do if I lost my dog. It's hard to think that one day he will die. But, as long as you've got pictures and the memories you had you will always remember him!

Hey man, sorry to hear about your loss I know how you feel I lost my best friend (dog) a cpl years ago and it still kills... But he lived to 18 years of age went blind and deaf... Poor guy. It sucks but remember the good times and that you gave him the time of his life RIP Coby.

Sorry to hear that, Chunk. I know how I feel about our lab retriever. We call her our first born and my daughters big sister. That's the sucky thing about dogs. They are easy to fall in love with but are so short-lived.

thx guys. we went and picked up coby today... we had him cremated. so he is still with us in a way...

we have ton's of pictures of guber's(coby). he will always be remebered. no matter what... it will take some time before i gain the courage to addopt a dog. coby was not addopted. he was a pure bread cocker spanial(SP).

this time around i wanna give a stray a second chance.

Good for you dude, there are lots of great dogs that need homes. As much as my ex is now an ex, she had a heart of gold for all the great things she has done and will continue to do for dogs everywhere.
