what are you supposed to see when you open the expansion pack cover on the back of the PS2? all i see is one connector at the top and the rest is a big empty space. Is this it? or does my PS2 not have an expansion pack? The adapter itself has 3 connectors/ports but my PS2 only has one behind the expansion pack cover. I got this thing off the side of a truck so i wouldnt be surprized if its missing the expansion pack.

i tried hooking it up to the broadband adaptor anyways and hookin it up to my Rogers cable moded, it didnt even detect the connection to the internet during the set up.

So am I doin something wrong or do I just not have an expansion pack?

also if you pluggin it direct into your cable modem, you have to unplug the modem for a few seconds, and then plug it in, so that it resets....
a router is what Rogers recommends, so that you can avoid this, for some resaon having to do with 'MAC' addresses and other stuff I dont know about

That is how everything is supposed to look. The network adapter plugs into the single port on the back right above the big open space. The big open space is where you slide the hard drive into the PS2 should you choose to buy one. Everything in the pics is normal!

The "Big empty space" is meant for a hard drive. All the network adapter needs is the one plug.
