I have seen them both and I prefer the second ones (those are the ones that we end up using when we play) but most people don't overly care for the first ones so I found you could get a better deal on them.

A litte OT but does anyone know where to get a decent set for under $100?
I know it sounds like a hard task, but it's for an xmas gift and I don't really wanna break the bank on poker chips lol.

well i dont know if your into playing online poker or not, but if you check out the site pokersourceonline.com they have promotions where you can get free chips(500 piece sets). anyway, you have to register with either Pacific Poker or Party Poker. then you deposit 100$ and play 250 raked hands, then they send the chips out to you. it could end up costing you over $100 because you deposit $100 american, but its fairly easy not to lose your money if your smart, and chances are you'll actually make money.

I cleared a set of 600 (with the suits not the dice) with dealer button and a couple decks of cards in a nice stainless case for $99 Canadian off eBay
