^^^^ He's right. Once you give in, you will never stop paying -- she'll probably sell the car and have the new owner call you too.

Okay, here is what you should do:

1) Take your dominant hand (left or right or both)

2) Raise it in the air (or both)

3) Now slowly lower your hand and reach between your legs.... drum roll please.... is something there? If yes, tell her to *0)* it for you.

The way I look at it,even if she does take me to court on it,I have enough people, training, knowledge behind me,she wont have a leg to stand on...

Ok..I had a uick phone call chat with a lawyer this morning...

He says I am not legally liable unless they can come to me with solid eveidance that my install caused the failure of the computer. As far as the tin foil on the fuse goes, even this lawyer says its possible that they put the foil there to use me as a scape goat...

Still going to make an appointment with another lawyer to confirm this...

Got you,Biacth!!

She is making a lot of assumptions and by defending yourself (rather than telling her she got her moneys worth) and worse by paying her you make yourself look guilty. I would say she is working you (making you feel guilty) but there is no reason to bend over and take one for the team (OK you’re a nice guy but she's got a chip on her shoulder... “all men are ripping me off”). Even by paying her, she won’t be happy or satisfied because everyone is ripping her off. BTW if you do give her money (and you will) I would use the release CYA

That's what I see you doing here. Two pages of people, some professional installers, others mechanics, telling you that she has no case. Then you say you called a lawyer - they said she has no case. Still you are unconvinced.

It sounds like you WANT to pay it because you are hopelessly codependant and need this woman's personal approval of you. Face it dude, no offense, but you do not have the skills or demeanor to tell this woman NO and back it up. It's not right, but you're gonna wind up paying for it anyway - regardless of all the advice you ask for...
Nope...I am satisfied now that I am not at fault..I will be presenting her with a statement in the next couple days stating that I am not going to be giving her any money towards the repair and heres the reasons why.I will end by saying that I see the matter as closed, but if she wishes to pursue it further,it will have to be by way of legal action.

For her to do this it will cost her $100 to file the suit.Seeing as the repair total she gave me is $181.06(parts,labour,etc)and as I and many others see it,she doesnt have a leg to stand on,I really dont think she will pursue it.If it does go to court, and by some chance she wins, then she will get her money back...but chances are she will try to get a lawyer too..big bux...not really worth it for her...
If it goes to court,I would likely represent myself and have several character witnesses to back me up along with all my Mechanics training documents and would probably even take some of my trophies too...LOL...

I tried to be nice...She turned in to a bitch...Well,sorry....that dont work with me...
