heh, it's had prblems with the synchros for years. in the first 4 months of production of the 5th generation of this car, they used some crap gears, and swapped to a different set of gears in month 4. my car was built in the 3rd month.
so in 92 when it had issues (i bought this car off my parents.) it was taken into toyota, under warranty to have the problem fixed. we got the car back, the problem was gone, etc...
turns out all they did was put in atf to mask the problem, and over the years all it did was get worse and worse. last year i did a tranny service on it and put the normal gear oil in it only to find that now i could barely shift...
so yeah when i decide to fork out 1700 bucks and get the thing fixed.....
