I said it before the season even was supposed to start. There will be no hockey this season for sure. We'll be lucky if there is even another NHL. I personally am not missing it. I can watch roadrunner hockey for $20 a ticket instead of spending over 50 to go to an Oilers game.

DEAD...... gettin kinda frustrating.... makes yah not even wanna bother watching the NHL even after they settle this..... like why bother... can go see a Knights game for much much cheaper.... and see the same game if not a better game...when the NHL gets going again every hockey fan out there, no matter how big of a fan should boycott them for the same amount of time they locked the game out.... see how much of a change they would have to do then...they lock out the NHL for 2 seasons.... we lock out for 2 seasons.... think they would feel the burn then???

stupid rich people are dumb...lol

Only once an impasse is declared (I think it takes a while).

They'd only be able to legislate the players back to work if it was a strike, which it is not. Its a lockout and thus legislation in that sense doesnt work, I dont think.

Maybe they can legislate the parties to the bargaining table, but I dont know if that requires a time period or an impasse or what have you.

Plus since they're dealing with two different countries' labor laws there are probably all sorts of issues regarding that.
