timing belt is a good idea (saftey doesn't check that just saftey stuff)
I believe as a rule of thumb they should be changed every 160,00km or so
if it goes it can cause major engine damage, for 30 bucks and an afternoon wrenching it's worth it for the peace of mind

Well I just got the CV joint fixed. It handles amazingly now!
Euros are ugly unlees they come stock with a car. And I prefer a quiet car over a farty sounding one. Call me plain and simple.
The extent of a stereo this car will get is a deck and 2 speakers.
I'm no fun.

This car had alot of components on the engine and front replaced before my parents bought it. The only thing they didn't replace was the passenger side cv joint which went today...

Why a wing on a hatchback? lol If I had that car I'd clear tail it clear corner it, air intake it, neon light it, pump it with car audio gear and change the muffler or just the tip. But thats it lol

There is no magnitude of quality in a timing belt, just hope for a Gates or GoodYear one but they're all the same.
Seriously, change it unless it looks new. It's a pain, but a good idea. I think now that 5 people have said it, you understand that WHEN it breake, you will have a big problem.
