New gaming system - xbox? PS3?

Hey Folks,

I've got a wii, but i'm lookin for a new system, mainly cause i was rock band (with the drums) and grand theft auto 4?

Do they make those for each the PS3 and xbox? I know hte PS3 is a blueray which is kinda neat. I haven't bought a dvd in I dunno how long, but if they're the same price as dvd's or similar, then thats a positive.

Whats the deal with the harddrives how are they used? I gather you can probably put music on them, but I can quite easily connect a computer up?

What are the ups n downs of each? Any reason to go one way or another??

well, I went with the 360 because of the online gameplay, I know ps3 has it but it's not as good(more people, more games )
There's a helluva lot more games for the 360 then the ps3
The ps3 has the six axis controller(comes with) that lets you lean the controller...but I found it was more annoying then ever and always loved the vibration effect with the 360 controller.

the ps3 has wireless controllers as well as the 360 but the ps3 supplies you with a cord to charge their controller while the 360 makes you buy a rechargable batterry and cord.

both those games are available for both systems.

The hard drive on the PS3 is used primarily to install games onto it. Which more and more games are requiring. That is another downside of the PS3. I have both systems, but find it very annoying when I put in a PS3 game and am required to install 8GB+ of stuff onto my PS3 just to play a game. This is supposedly done to decrease load times since Bluray drives to not read nearly as fast as the DVD drive in the 360. But, even after installing games onto my PS3 I find a lot of them still take ungodly amounts of time to load. That is one reason to steer clear of a PS3. I'm down to half my hard drive in space after only installing a few games on mine. It's going to be damn annoying when I have to start erasing installs just to play new games. And then if I want to replay the game I erased I have to reinstall it. Even though I like my PS3 and LOVE Bluray, I already have a computer. Thanks SONY. LOL!

You can also save games onto the hard drive as well as download demos and videos from SONY and put your own crap onto it as well.
