33's are too big for stock. I can barely use 5th gear with my power.
More power perhaps...
33's is the biggest I'll fit with only my 3" body lift.
Once I get my locker and 4.88's. I'll be set for daily/wheeler combo.

X </font>
could be that you have lower (numerically) gears than the stock trucks ive driven in. Or that the BFGs measure a little taller than 33 but thats still shouldnt make much difference.
My explorer with stock 3.55s and 35s was brutal trying to start off on hills and on the highway i had to be doing atleast 125 ish to use 5th gear.

the toys come with 4.10's stock, unless they got the big tire package (31x10.50's) then they come with 4.56's
I can't imagine that thing with 33's and stock gears I know I sure noticed a bigpower difference going to 31x10.50's with the stock 4.10's on my dad's 4runner

I run the 4:56 gear set in my 93 with 33" Bajas although I have the 3 litre. It is not too bad around town but a lil bit of a slug on the highway hills.
Although it's usually more shiney than dirty it is a very capable trail rig and other than pulling stumps will outwheel a similarly equipped fullsize domestic.
Good little truck to work with Xiphoid. With little modifications it will be a very capable and reliable pickup.
I would recommend an electric fan swap if it hasn't already been performed.

when it comes to capable off road machines toy's rule well the 84-88 ones do anyways, especially the 84/85 solid front axle ones, I don't know anything about the newer ones they may rule too
my dad has 2 toys right now an 85 reg cab with a 2LT turbo diesel (it's hard enough finding a diesel one, little lone a solid axle one) ....he's got a 3" lift on it right but he's running 235's untill he gets the coin to swap to 4.88's and 31x10.50's (the diesel is pretty gutless so he needs a bit lower gears for the heavy tires)
and he has an 87 sr5 4runner with a 22re, it's completly stock other than the 31x10.50's
