Okay, That is what I thought PA stood for. Just was not sure if it had a different meaning for Car Audio.

well, you should build your pa speakers, then get a cargo van to fit As you may have figured, i am quite new to loud sound systems. For your bottom speaker, what is the point of having the squiggel like this one:



Wouldn't it be louder just to have the "driver" just pointed out, and not make the sound go through that channel? [img]graemlins/dunno.gif[/img]

algore - Bass bins always out perform a standard ported enclosure when it comes to filling a large concert hall.. plus they add protection to the woofer which is really nice if used in a nighclub/rave atmosphere. I believe they are more efficient aswell.

It's all about efficiency! That plot up there is for one bin.. and it's lowest efficiency is 105db @ 1w within the range i'm using it. Max spl for one box is up around 138ish db, in room. It's not just a "squiggle." It's a folded exponentional horn. [img]smile.gif[/img]

so, from what i get, its so efficient taht you only need 1 watt to power it to 105db? :jawdrop:what happens when you put say 500 watts in it?
