alt.binaries.mame or something. Load newsgroups, search for MAME.
Put the zip file for the game into the MAME folder ... DONT UNZIP IT (maybe into the MAME game folder).

I get most of my ROMs from bit torrents now. Go to http://www.torrentstorm.com/ and download the client first of all. Then head over to http://www.suprnova.org/ to find your torrent files. Go to the games section, under ROMs. Once you download the torrent file (just save it to your dektop or whatever), open it in the client and it will start downloading. Remember to set your save directory in the options menu. Bit torrents aren't great for speed because it's a community-based sharing network, plus you have to upload while you're downloading, but the quality of the stuff available is second to none. I've found complete ROM sets for SNES, Genesis, Master System and Turbografx 16. Good schtuff...

When you signed up for internet access, you got a few pieces of information ideally:
- Username
- Password
- Outgoing mail server
- Incoming mail server
- Newsgroup server
You can set em up in Outlook or whatever but that program sucks. I use powergrab ... I think it's free.
If you can't find a newsgroup server, I have one that you can use, news.jet2.net I believe it is without looking it up. It is relatively slow but it has HUGE groups. It has SOOO MUCH space, it keeps like a million messages in each group.
