well ya learn somethin new every day i didnt know it was legal to share in canada, right on, see now the way i see copyright is this, if im burning CDs and selling them to people for a profit im violating the copy right laws, but if im burning cds of songs i hear every hour on the radio, how am i violating anything?
they filed suit against a 13yo girl last i heard, and that was AFTER her mother paid the fee imposed by kazaa thinkin that it was then ok do DL music...
true tho, filesharing will never stop, for too long the music business has been gouging the consumers, over the last 5-7 years the price of cds has gone from like 12$ to 20+$ its only natural that people would rather pay 1$ per CD with the tax on em, and get 20 songs they actually like.
oh and does anyone know how to get rid of that stupid encryption in new mp3s where every like 30 seconds it gives u like a test tone and stuff... ?

yea they are dropping prices and including bonuses because the music industry is scrambling trying to get people buying again, they are doing damage control after gouging the consumer to the breaking point where we said SCREW THAT ill spend 100$ on a burner, burn 10 cds and ive saved MORE then the price of the burner.

my 2 cents..
personally i dont use kazaa (lite) because of a few reasons. the quality of the songs you download are very poor and sometimes not even the song you want and also all this riaa stuff. even though its USA only im just going to stay away.
also, its not technicaly legal to share music over the net in canada but at the same time there not enforcing it like they are now in the US.
I use mirc to download my music because i can get full music albums at 100x the speed i can off kazaa anyday and they are all cd rips which are awsome quality.
and just another note... if you ever get threatened about sharing songs / games / movies / etc on the net. all that they can legitimatly do is boot you off your isp which i found out from a previous perdiciment which i got into over movie distribution last year. i talked to my friend about it that works for shaw and he said if a company tries to go after you they have to go through your isp and all they will do is warn you to stop doing it, if you dont than they will just cut your service. just a lil info for u guys.
yup.. my 2 cents

I love mIRC you can find full albums and just download the entire thing. You can also find music that isn't even released yet and you can find it usually 2-3 weeks earlier than it appears on Kazaa. And it is all usually in 192kbps or higher!

I go for the 128 quality. No matter what there is a way to get these mp3's whether they boot kazaa like they did napster they're gonna get it one way or another. CD's now the copy guards.... has anyone bought the new Nickelback or A Perfect Circle cd's? They are heavily guarded u can't even rip songs with Audiograbber from the cd cause all it reads is DATA filez. Burning them ur lucky if the copy works. It wouldn't work in a car cd player or pc cd player so far using a program thats supposed to work! I'll buy cd's from artists that actually DESERVE the money not the onez that dont and make to much of it or only have one good song on the cd.
