Jeep Troubles.....what the hay

sorry, not gonna go through the whole post again, but did you happen to say where the leak is coming from?
You COULD have a bad head gasket.....that would definatly cause a loss of coolant and power......easiest way to check is to run the truck and watch the exhaust pipe.....if there is coolant coming out, you have a blown head gasket....or if the head is wet with coolant from somewhere then again, it's the head gasket, it might not be leaking into the combustion chamber but you'll have a loss of compression and in turn, a loss of power.
Air in the cooling system would explain your truck over heating and loosing fluid, but not the loss of power.
Best educated guess, check the head gasket.

And replace the fuel fliter like every 6 months..(Well i do that )

Hmmm well, dropped the jeep off about 1/2 hour ago. I have no idea where the leak is coming from if there is still one. Guess would be the radiator itself.
I know the exahsut was done (i thought from down pipe back). Even mechanic asked me that, but now i'm second guessing things. Cause that was only done like a year ago. Might have to pull up that receipt and check it out now.
Today driving, it was even noticable in lower gears 1, 2 and 3 that there is a lack of power. What worries me is, it doesn't cause any bogging and it's not really sluggy, things are somewhat smooth. So i dunno if others will notice it as much if they test drive it.
As for the heat issue, after 3 days of driving around the city it seems pretty well fine : . Musta known it was going to the mechanic. None the les, i'll let you guys know the outcome in about 8h time.

OK, just got a call from the mechanic. They want to replace the thermostat and radiator cap (good call on both). They also want to fully remove the radiator clean it and flush the whole system. Apparenlty there is a lot of mud in there and similar (believable as i fell in a mud puddle a couple times - i'm beginning to regret it now).
They believe this is also the cause of the power issue, I don't 100% understand how, but they know more than i do about this, and I trust them as the owner is a good friend.
So none the less they're doing all that. The only thing that worries me is, before the trip the jeep did run fine, temperature wise anyways (not sure when exactly the power issue started, ithought it was more so in my head for the first while). The mud puddle i fell into a couple times was probably 1.5 - 2 months ago (when calgary was still in the playoffs). So...i suppose it's possible, but wouldn't have been my first guess.
Anywho, y'all can post your thoughts, and i'll let ya know more when i get my jeep back after lunch.
I wonder what happens if they've diagnosed it wrong and then we gotta do more work....then i'd have to fit the ball for their mistake? hmm that'd suck, although i guess it's not a mistake but meh, hopefully this solves it and now it runs like a gem.
Off topic, did you know that the timing on a 94 grand cherokee is non adjustable? Me neither.
EDIT after drive home
So thats all they replaced, said air flow thru the exhaust was totally fine. Apparenlty fuel pressure n sutff was fine. Cleaned a ton of out of the radiator, did a pressure test. Only weird thing was acid levels were apparenlty way out on the coolant which they've never seen, but they did a flush of that. Couldn't find any other issues at all. So...i've only drivien it a lil bit, it felt pretty good, i suppose the power issue could be that it's a V6 or a lil bit in my head, or contributed to by the engine running so much warmer and only receiving warm air previously?

yup it's called DIS or (distributorless ignition) and it's controlled by the ecm (electronic control module).
When coolant gets old, the acidity gets higher, but you added fresh coolant and water so I can't figure that one out.
Did they replace the fuel filter? (Above the rear axle.)

I'm still saying it's a head gasket.
the coolant has nothing to do with power loss.....untill the motor over-heats, though, if it's boiling the fuel you'd be screwed for power. Same with the thermostat.....has to do with cooling the motor, not with fuel, air or combustion.
Fuel filter COULD be plugged....but with what? Nothing gets in the filter except what's already in the tank. So that's likely not the problem, and it would have to be pretty plugged for you to be experiencing the kind of power loss you are talking about.
Rad, thermostat, heater core.....could all be the cause of your cooling problem, I doubt it's the cause of the power loss though.....I HIGHLY doubt it.....that issue is something else.
