Impala SS

I checked out a 94 Impala SS that is for sale locally today.. Lt1 engine with 110K Kms, garage stored, never winter driven.. the paint is near mint, no rust anywhere, and the guy only wants 1400 bucks...

Seems like it would be a cool car to own and do some modifications to.. lower the suspension, headers, exhaust.. ect...

Of course this would be instead of sinking my money into
a newer car like a 99-02 grand prix GTP, Impala, Intrepid, ect ect...

Opinions ?? Experiences with this car ??

1400!!! that's a freakin steal...those are cool cars...kick *** motor and just plain cool...not to mention you can put a big *** system in there. Take it for a nice drive and check it all out...hell even if it needs another couple of g's in it..it's still a nice ride!

$1,400? Sounds too good to be true. I would have bought it like yesterday.

Depends what you want it for. It's a pig on gas and modifying it more is going to make it less than pleasant as a daily driver in Canada's four season's. It's basically a Caprice with some heavier duty running gear so parts aren't too expensive but are getting less easy to find.

The LT1 SBC is cheap and easy to extract HP from.

Bottom line: not the most practical daily driver but would make a great second vehicle/project car.

I think the saying back in the day was,"if darth vader came to earth and had a car...it would be an impala ss!" Just imagine that thing dropped with 20's and blacked out...sweet!

easier to move with that power and you probably did the air in air out mods ( exhaust and intake ) = better for the motor
also chip helps

My bronco was running 36" TSLs 4:56 gears and a built 400
