How to put on a few pounds?

well, really is more like 20 lbs.
Anyone got any good advice on gaining some weight? If been trying to do this for years and the most I got was only 5 pounds
I'm at 155 now and my goal is to get around 175
And the McDiet isn't workin for me... I could eat 3 bigmacs a day and gain nothing at all
The only thing that helped was those protien shakes, but I went through one tub a week for like a month and only saw 5 pounds, and that stuff is costly.

Do a little searching on google. There are tons of sites out there aimed at helping people gain mass.
I dont think eating a whole bunch of big macs would be such a good idea, try eating healthier things like chicken breasts. And those protien shakes are good, but I think an actual weight gainer would be better suited for what your trying to achieve.

I've read about something saying that my metabolism should slow down naturally when I get older, but how would can I control it now? I've heard that different eating habits, like eating one big meal a day would slow it down and eating small frequent meals would speed it up. Is this true?
