But if they're gonna do this they better do it right and get with a clutch too! lol And I don't mean like the crappy ones in the arcade. If they're really pushing for realism, the first company to come up with this is gonna make A LOT of money. I for one would buy it.

I vote for sequential paddles....just like the M3 SMG. It's SWEET...just tap tap up and down, it doesn't even disrupt the car's balance in high load corners when downshifting towards the appex.
Too bad THAT car isn't in the game...

Them put all the pedals down plus the wheel and try and keep it from all sliding around everywhere and be comfortable in my chair and whatnot? Just seems like anything they put out now would be too much of a pain in the arss to deal with.

Adam - most wheels have paddles or at least buttons where paddles would be.
As for the 'realistic' shifter and pedals. A company does make a set with a wheel, clutch/brake/gas pedals and a gated 5+R shifter. A few MCO guys had it. Hello $600 US...
Jordy - no **** eh? As I have whined before, it was the realistic driving of MCO that had me addicted. The cars really behaved more like real cars than any other game I have played before or since.
I may have to try to rent a setup to see..
maybe they had exceeded their POS quota with just the one

Dukk I didn't know they had the realistic full sets yet, but wow $600 us .. lol
Joe the sets that come for computer minus the clutch and shifter (automatic gears) you have to attach the wheel to a desk and then the pedals are at you're feet. You can't expect to play with a steering wheel in your lap, or at least very good at it.
