gas milage for my car? going on a trip

i say find out how many L you use per 100 km
easiest way to do it
my cavy uses 7.5-8 L / 100 km
so 510miles x 1.6 miles/km / 100km = 8.16 x 8L = 65.28 x .76 cents/liter = $49.61
i love econmony cars. lol
i keep track of my gas mialage on every tank. and sue an excel spred sheet to keep track . its very usefull to track how well your car is running.

Vermillion--->Edmonton = ~120 miles
Edmonton--->Vermillion = ~120 miles
Vermillion--->Lloyd = ~37 miles
Lloyd--->Vermillion = ~37 miles
vermillion--->Edmonton = ~120 miles
Edmonton--->Reddeer = ~96 miles
Reddeer--->Edmonton = ~96 miles
Edmonton--->Vermillion = ~120 miles
GRAND TOTAL ====
~746 miles
So basically you're looking at over 80 dollars in gas.

There's no way a 15-year-old 3.1 with junk in the trunk is going to get 34 mpg ... According to www.fueleconomy.gov, your car NEW got 19 city/28 hwy/22 mix ...

Considering your math, I wouldn't trust your own fuel economy calculations, BTW
So, if that's the case, you're looking at a best case scenario of ...
746 miles/28 MPG = 26.643 US gallons
26.643 US gallons = 100.854 liters
100.854*0.769 = $77.56
