They've all made their music that much better with their guitar talent. The main reasons why I like their bands is thanks to their talent.

4. John Lee Hooker
5. David Gilmore

Reasons for each:

1. Revolutionary when it came to psychodelic rock
2. Pure poetry with the slide. Name me another band with constantly changed bridges in the songs
3. Played the blues like no other
4. If it wasnt for BB he would be king
5. Not because of his super talent (because he wasnt super) but because the flow of the guitar being almost hypnotical

Curt Cobain was a mediocre guitarist at best, great songwriter though.

1. Hendrix - invented rock
2. Dime Bag - what can you say
3. Eddie Van Halen - created the rock guitarist mold
4. Dave Navarro - invented the stop/start rock method
5. What's his face from Rage against the machine.

Now I could name a bunch of jazz and blues guys, but I listen to jazz and blues about 15% and rock the other 90% lol
