Is there a minimuin length? I am doing a project at work and need to know if there is a minimum length, I know very shrt cables will work but I ave heard of different minimums.

No there is no minimum length. but I would like to see ya use ..say a 6inch lenght to connect to pc's together

^ There's a couple of 4" cables connecting a pair of swtches and a wireless gateway together here [img]smile.gif[/img] No minimum legnth.. but a max of 100 meters.

I beg to differ! I am 2 books away from my Diploma for Network Administrator and a Cat5 cable is only good up till 200 feet then you need a repeater or something to amplify the signal.

If your just running it from 1 computer to the next in your house, you shouldn't have to worry unless you have like a 80000 Sq foot house.
