Dog + Skunk =
not good ..... got up this morning at 5:00...
Let the dog out and as I'm going into the Kitchen, she goes racing across the yard. Didn't bark or anything. Put on the coffee & hmmm .... smells like a skunk ...... go out side to get the dog .... sure as **** ..... sprayed all over her head.... dumb dog.
I know that tomato juice is suppose to help? Is there anything else? I can't ever go near her without gagging.

Someone told me baking soda and peroxied but I can't really back that.
Your going to have an issue anyway since its on her head, unless you can train her to keep her eyes shut while your pooring it on.
Ah, well look at the bright side....I bet she won't do that again

Thanks everyone. I went with tomato juice bath, then used her doggy shampoo and now she smells like vanilla.
(Spun) .... Ya, I hope she learns her lesson, but she chases anything out of our yard so until my neighbor three doors over decides to evict the skunk from under his porch, you never know. :fingerscrossed: My brother-in-law mentioned the baking soda and vinegar thing last night, but we were already done and as you said, not sure if using that method on the dogs face would have been very easy.
