Gotta love selective enforcement.
The majority or rust proofing oil that I've seen has been rather transparent.
Yes you can be charged for altering the intended look of your marker plate (the most popular method is by means of a coloured/tinted cover).

l will post pics of what im taking to court. the problem was i drove through 2 km of road construction all that dust stuck to the oily plate cover.

if it stopped snowing what would be a reasonable time to clean of the snow.

once l cleaned the cover no issues. as well never did the constable remove thier dark sunglasses. the time frame was 30 min between destinations, not like a week later. we are paying cops to do what.?

l will still say canada is a great place to live

How about get your car back when it gets stolen you dumb turd.
Dirty/covered plates can't be read which makes it rather difficult to run. Dirty/covered plates are suspicious as many times they are left muddy, snowy, blocked, covered so that they are not easily read which comes in handy when the car is stolen, being used in a theft/robbery, the val sticker is outdated (which is usually because they don't have insurance on the vehicle so they can't get another sticker - which again helps you out in case you get smacked by an uninsured driver), etc, etc.

Good luck with your ticket loser.

why are you making it personal, only in a forum.
you have not lived , until you have had a car and motorcycle stolen. you will find out what the police can do for you. insurance is your best friend.

when police need help from the public, ya you know what happens.
my story leaves everyone with eyebrows raised.
if i win i expect an apology

pic1 bumper is soaking with oil
pic2 plate cover has drip marks covered with dust
pic3,4 a cleaned rear, never was the front an issue

a constable on my hockey team felt the same of this infration being petty and advised me to pursue it

driving through construction roads was my down fall. there is no way the cover alone was an issue. she follwed me for 4km and there were other plate covered cars

Wow. What a POS cop.

Most police officers are reasonable, smart people. Then you get one dick like that who is trying to make his quota, and all of a sudden the public hates cops.

thats dumb,

awesome job getting photo proof like that ....if its not going to affect you job then id fight it..especially since you got good pics to show for it.

the plate is actully stiil readable every third car you see has a plate worse then that...

plus the fact that you were driving on dusty roads...what do they expect you to stop every 5 km and clean it off??....like you said im sure everyone elses plate was just as dusty
