Unless I missed something, the video left her fate kind of open right? Makes a point but like Hollywood movies, you can't be too critical of it.

But since we're on the topic... Don't forget that her euro mini sport ute is likely to be a stick and that when she gets rear ended, unless she's jamming on the brake pedal like a dead pedal through a high speed sweeper, her foot is going to come off the pedal as the car moves forward but she stays still.

That's why I put my parking brake on at EVERY intersection or when motorized traffic/peds/bikes cross in front of me. When I see someone approach too quickly from behind at an intersection. I pump the brake lights in quick succession to alert them.... it helps if they're drunk or so I'd like to think.

^ good observation...

MR2, a Paving truck is not a sports car.. not a good observation...

I think the point of the movie should have been 'dont be an idiot' or 'pay attention a-hole' not necassarily 'dont drive fast'

Ill drive fast every singly day.. and as long as I remain in my vehicles limits and pay attention to what is going on... I wont be responsable for any accidents.... I'll guareentee it...

The problem in that movie was that the guy probably had his eyes on that girls ta-tas and not on the road... not that he was driving to fast...

When does the one come out with the dippy soccer mom in the SUV or the fat guy shoving burger down his yap ????

Some people driving big trucks are sometimes careless too you know. They figure nothin can happen to them because they're high up there and have tons of metal/steel w/e to protect them so it seems.

Looked like a Celica to me as well, though when I watched it again it looked like he was goin like 40 k when he slammed on the brakes. (not saying he was, I'm saying it looked that way to me)

Umm, perhaps talk to Toyrantula or how bout my dad..hell even I've been driving dz trucks off and on. Anyone out there in those trucks is simply trying to make a buck....when you get in our way, we get pissed.....but don't make the assumption that all truck drivers think they are invinceable(sp?) While it's quite true that in an accident, a truck isn't going to sustain as much damage (likely) and they don't roll over at the drop of a hat like everybody seems to think, however, when they do roll or get seriously damaged....you gotta remember, most trucks don't have airbags/a thousand safety features since most trucks out there aren't brand new. Truck drivers know that, so most of them try to as carefull as possible.

So next time you get pissed at a truck driving slower than everyone else on the highway remember, he weighs 60,000 pounds and even with 500+ HP, it takes alot to move that kind of weight, an it takes a lot of friction to stop.

^^^^ Amen my brother. In the Limos I drive, they are these huge 11 meter long Excursions. They wiegh, Im guessing 4.5 metric tons. I have to go slow, since I have 12 people in the back, and none of them are wearing seatbeats. For a simple notice, please dont be a jerk to these people that are driving commercial vehicles. IT is an unbelievably stressful job at times. I hate it. I think Im farther from invincible then you can even imagine. Like any large vehicle, it is EXTREMELY easy to have an accident, all it takes is one little screw up, or mis-calcualtion. If people are cutting me off, or not letting me merge, it makes doing what I do, exteremely difficult. So All I ask, is that you be repsectful towards other people that drive for a living, like me.
