look at your gas cap closer - if its factory , and any ting like mine theres 2 notches in the cap that alow you to hang it on the top edge of the gas door ....

My fuel cap on my buick isn't teathered, which I perfer. I can't even remember if my Eclipse is like that or not. Fueling up isn't something you really think about, you just do it.
