You folks should look up LEGAL road races.
For example, in NFLD every fall there is a race called the TARGA.
In Nevada, there are a couple of open road races. One is call the Silver State Classic. If you've ever dreamed of driving flat out down over 100 miles of open highway....legally...this is the way to do it. They have classes ranging in speed from 90 MPH all the way up to the 200+ MPH class. The deal is, you have to average as close to your class speed as possible without driving over certain speed limitations. For example, in the 120 MPH class you can't exceed 140 MPH meaning you have to hold a really high speed through most all of the various turns and elevation changes.
