call a payphone? i was watching that movie "phonebooth" and was wondering if you could actually make a phone call yo a payphone? if so i wanna know how to freak peopel out! LOL... hahahaha

you can't anymore. You used to be able to though. It says somewhere on them that you can not receive calls

I remember back in highschool (12yr ago) we had a payphone that would ring.. and people would call it all the time..

But i believe now they have it blocked so they can only be outgoing calls from them.

dj's in Detroit use to call the payphone in a bar in New Orleans during Mardi Gras and talk to the drunks on air. Pretty funny stuff.

Some you probably can, if someone calls you from a payphone n u forget to tell them somethin and u have call display or *69 it you can call it back in some cases.
