Hmmm so in our main room down here, we've got our cable split 4 times....1 modem and 3 tv's. Used to be 2 tv's and 1 modem (other tv on satellite). But it's starting to effect the modem. Cutting in and out here n there.

I've thought about putting a two way splitter, so the modem has it's own line and the tv's get their own connection...not sure if that'd help or not.

Can you just get more lines runinto the house from i guess the cable box whereever it is? Or does it only output a certain amount of signal, and if you use that your hooped? I guess in total, we have 4 tv's downstairs, plus cable modem, then upstairs them have 1 tv.

Assuming running another line is possible....any idea what it's worth?

Before I had Sat Tv I had one of these on my cable feed. Try it but make sure you put it before your tv's and as close to the original feed as possible, otherwise you will amp the dirty signal you already have.

good luck

You probbaly can get a line ran in. The company I worked for in the p[ast, I believe they charged around $30 to have a new line ran in from the box. Check with your local company to see for sure and about exact pricing.

I had a problem with splitting in my old apartment.

Had the cable guy come out and he gave me a good quality splitter and said here use this.

Worked good after that.

BTW With shaw paying for an extra tv or 2 is cheap or free. I don't think I even remember it being on my bill.
