Buy this car?

Regarding missing parts, something will probably be missing, but everything of value off of two cars was saved, so I'm hoping there's at least one of everything I need. I can always go down to his shop and dig around more too since it's a friend of the family.
Regarding the value, this is a family friend, and my dad was responsible for all the bills when the resto was being done. He figures 25 grand was spent without accounting for paying the mechanic that was doing it. The reason it was so much, is the guy that owns the car is a fanatic when he's doing something, everything had to either be perfectly restored, or he was replacing it. Everyone hired to do work on it was told "price is no object" so of course he paid way too much for certain things.
All I've got to decide is if I have the time of not really. Money is no problem, space is no problem, but there's a LOT of weekends putting this car back together...

I was once in your situation.... well not really but a similar situation, I found a car and considered buying it, it too needed work.
I was all gun-ho for it, until my dad said, it sounds good, and you have done alot of research and looking around convincing yourself why you should buy it
.... try looking at it from another honest perspective and attempt to convince yourself why you should'nt buy it.. make a list and be realistic, then make your final decision!
