A lot of the parts from the theatrical version were left to open, and parts that they cut should not have been cut but then again they had to because if they didnt it would'a made no sense to keep the theatre ending. Personally i liked the directors cut ending better simply because it made more sense then him just telling her off at the birthday party. As with the directors cut where he was never meant to be he makes sure of that. Which is far better than later on down the road being able to go back someway or another (I'm sure they would figure a dumb way) to recall some memories and try again to be with her or save/change something else. Its better where hez never born to end it as it explained in both versions you can't fix the past. Everytime you change one thing something bad happens to the future.

In the directors cut ending his father is still alive. In the theatre version ending his father is dead.

If they ever make a sequeal therez part of something there.

I recall them (the authorities at the institute) ended up having to kill him in directors cut after one of the main characters' life re-writing instances.

What makes the directors cut so cool was the scene where the main character and his mom go to the palm reader, and she reads no lifeline in him. Now I'm not a superstitious person, but I saw that fit very well with the end.

</font>
How did they kill him I dont get it? Evan was responsible for killing him when he was alive if he was never born how did he die then?

And yes the lifeline psychic stuff was creepy but a nice twist.
