For those of you who liked it, did anyone see the DVD yet where it comes with the Theatrical version and the Directors Cut?

If you saw the directors cut what did you think?

I didn't like the ending of the directors cut. The theatrical version was the best IMO.

Some of them black outs in the begining scared the snot out of me. It would be all quiet the BAM something crazy is happening.

All in all i give it a 8/10, i still think the ending(s) were weak.

The directors cut ending was sad and I think they did an awesome job, I prefer that version over the theatrical version as to me it seemed to piece things together better. Just my opinion.

One thing though, what exactly did that envelope he found in the attic say??

It was the death certificate from is grandfather stating that he died in the nut house. So his grandfather was just like him and his father.

That was the directors cut, in the theatrical version he tells the gurl off when they're kids and meet for the first time at a birthday party. And in the very end they pass each other on the street when they've grown up and graduated college etc. And YES that kid was SEVERELY messed up almost to the point where you wanna beat some reality into the kid lol

Usually I can tell a good movie by the previews, and I watched for this one to come into theatres and went as soon as possible but my friends bailed on going to the GOOD theatre and it ruined the movie for me as it needed to be seen in a good theatre or it wasn't as good. So when i bought it today I watched it as loud as I could handle in with the surround sound in my living room today lol Considering the theatre i saw it in I swear they didnt have any subwoofers and it was a famous players like wtf... The seats were SO SMALL I couldn't move and even for a SHORT person I had FA for leg room lol friendz kept laughin at me becuz i was pissed off during the whole movie cuz i couldn't move or get comfortable or feel any of the movie and at the lack of quality (I'd rather pay more for quality than cheap out n get less quality)

This movie DEFINATELY needs to be seen with a sub to get the full feel for it. Regular tv sound just dont cut it lol

And beater its two versions on one DVD double sided dvd Which makes it better cuz u ain't gotta buy two different versions lol Though how they set up the menu its a pain in the butt to get the 'extras' But I do like how they made it into two movies. Just wish they would'a did a way where u could just watched the deleted onez if u didnt wanna watch the whole thing you know?

And thats one reason you need to feel the movie They scare the crap outta you. The guy that lived across the hall from me in res who I'm good friends with brought his gf and that movie scared the crap out of her lol I laughed my *** off the entire time at how bad it was scarin her lol She's one of those people that just can't handle shocking movies like that lol

I did not like the directors cut, too many long scenes that drag down the movie big time. The ending is crap and would have been too easy of a give away if all the stuff stayed in the Theatrical cut. Glad to see it for sure always nice to get more info about the movie but I do not like the DVD menu system. Almost like no effort went into it last minute or no budget to do it well.

Yea the menu was crap man, confused me big time I'm like ok how do i get to the extras and such I prefer the directors cut over the theatrical version simply because it explained things better in detail. Long or Short some of those scenes should have stayed if not all of them. I didnt like the original ending in that ending they left it open for a sequel, in the directors cut they closed it. Just seemed the movie made more sense in that version to me.
