im allergic to cats. just being in the same room as one, not even touching it sets off my alergies, but also the doc said im supose to be allergic to dogs. but i have 2 dogs one sheds like crazy i don't feel the affects of it one bit. mabey its cause i have lived around these dogs all my life? and by the wy that dog is so cute. my neighbors have a dog just like that.

After living with two large dogs (Lab/Greyhound and a Husky/Shepard) for the last few years...small dogs don't look so bad anymore! Your right about the poop!
I'm allergic to cats, dogs, gerbils, horses...etc. If its got hair I'm allergic to it! But for me as long as my house has good ventalation my allergies are kept in check. I have two dogs and two cats.
Its my understanding that with cats there is an enzyme in their saliva which agrivates the alergies. And with dogs, certain breeds have hair which is close to that of humans (Toy poodles, Shichons, and Bishon-Frise too I belive) and that makes them less allergenic.
