Bankruptcy Done!!

I dont think he's proud of delcaring bankruptcy, maybe glad to be through it. Going bankrupt isnt fun, but sometimes it's a last resort for some people. Having no credit for a decade might seem rough, but having no money to survive due to bills and harassing creditors is a lot worse. Try not to judge someone until you've walked a mile in their shoes.

I, along with others, was just trying our pal Aaron to "be careful" in future -- just I tell my daugther to "be careful" when she falls off her bike -- I don't tell her never to ride again, just to wear her helmet and maybe not try to go down a set of steps until she's more experianced.

Thanks for the words of encouragement folks..
And no...Not in the least am I proud I declared....probably one of the most demeaning things I ever had to do...Alot of people looked down on me for a long time til I got them to see I had no choice in the matter...
I am proud however that I am done and finished with it at last.I already feel a small shred of self respect beginning to rebuild..wish me luck..!!

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes, that way when you criticize them, your'e a mile away, and you have their shoes.
Before the slamming … debt stinks, lawyers stink, bankruptcy stinks… the only question is did you modify your behavior? You can’t answer this now you have to wait a year or so, this is the problem with easy credit as Dukk pointed out. I will not throw rocks since this has touched my life as well (I paid my debts in full but it meant less food and a crappy car and a lousy apartment for years) and I am not sure I haven’t slipped into bad habits again.
Yes yes yes listen to dukk he is an old and wise man!

Oh I speak as well from the "limited funds" end of the scale. We had to live on the skinny for quite a few years to straighten stuff out.
Never got to a point where my credit took a beating though. I got lucky.
