I had that issue with Opera as well. It didn't like alot of pages either. I still use it, as with Firefox. I don't like to use IE since I started using OP and FF.

I have been using it for a few days now and I am getting no more spyware that I was from IE, and no more pop ups..........................it is simple to accept sites that have pop ups, just click the icon..................................I don't think I will ever go back to IE now...............it also has almost everything IE has, they just called it something different...........

I quite enjoy firefox, but I haven't been using IE for a good while even before firefox. I was using netcaptor, which uses the IE engine so it can only go so far.

Have you guys checked out the firefox extensions? They're quite useful, especially mouse gestures.
